The Crystal Palace Dinosaurs

Information Design | Illustration

Growing up in South East London, I was fascinated by the Victorian dinosaur sculptures in Crystal Palace Park. After years away, moving back to the area rekindled that connection and inspired this self-initiated poster project.

The graphic explores how the sculptures reflect the scientific knowledge of the 1850s, comparing their original interpretations with what palaeontologists understand about these creatures today.

Combining research, information design and illustration, the poster celebrates a much-loved local landmark while revealing how dramatically our understanding of prehistoric life has evolved.
